Step 1 -- Extracting the contents
Over here. we have already downloaded the "VMwaretools.gz" file. You can go ahead and download the vaware tools for linux from their official website. Once you have downloaded the file, right click on the "VMware Tools.gz" file and click on the "Extract to" option.


Step 2 -- Extracting to the Desktop
In the next step, select the "Desktop" directory to extract the files and click on the "Extract" button which is located at the bottom right corner of the window.


Step 3 -- Getting started with the installation
Once it has extracted, go to the Desktop directory and open up the WMware tools folder. Now double click on the "vmware-install.pl" file and select the "Run in Terminal" option.
