Introduction
In this tutorial we will guide you on how to boot Linux from a CD. For this tutorial, you will need to make an ISO image file of the linux setup. You can do that by using Magic ISO and various other softwares.
With a linux boot cd, you can directly start with the operating system in no type. Using the help of daemon tools you can create a bootable cd in a few simple steps.
Step 1 -- Downloading Daemon Tools
Once you have the .ISO image file with you, ready to burn, we will focus on creating a Linux bootable CD which can be created using Daemon Tools Lite.
Log on to daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads, scroll down to Daemon Tools Lite and click on the "Download" button to download the application.
Step 2 -- Selecting the Ubuntu ISO file
Once downloaded, install the application on your computer. Just follow the installer and it will install the application on your computer automatically. Once installed, double click on its icon to open it.
Now click on the "Add" image button. With that done, a new window will open up. Browse and select the Ubuntu ISO file and click on the "Open" button to load it.
Step 3 -- Burning the Image
After loading it, select the image file, which you want to boot from cd, from the list and click on the "Burn Image" button to burn it on a CD.
Once the processing is completed, the Linux boot CD will be created.
