Introduction:

Skype doesn't have any functionality of its own to record skype conversations be it video conferences or audio calls. With that said, there are many third party applications that do the job for you. In this tutorial, we will focus on one of such applications and teach you how to record a skype calls.

Step # 1 -- Downloading and Installing Call Graph

For this tutorial, we will be using Call Graph, a third party application used for recording calls on skype.

Download and install the application on your computer.

Step # 2 -- Running Both the Applications Simultaneously

With that done, run both the applications simultaneously.

Log in to your skype account and you will be shown a notification letting you know that Call Graph wants to access Skype and that you will be required to restart the application in-order to sync both the applications successfully. Close the notification and restart the application.

Step # 3 -- Allowing Access Notification

Once you have restarted skype, a notification window will pop up asking you whether you want to allow Call Graph to access Skype. Click on the allow access button to proceed.

Step # 4 -- Advanced Settings Menu

You can even move to the advanced tab and click on the "Manage other programs' access to skype" option to see whether call graph is on the list or not. You can change the permissions and remove the application from here as well.

Step # 5 -- Recording the Skype Call

Once you have synced both the applications successfully, simply call any of your contacts on skype and hit the record button. As soon as you press the record button, a notification window appears letting you know that the application has started to record the skype conversation.

Step # 6 -- Accessing the output File

Once you end the call, the recording automatically stops. Now to check whether the application was able to record your skype call successfully or not, click on the folder icon to access the audio file and open it.
