To protect your privacy it is a good idea to delete your web history on a regular basis. This tutorial is going to show you how to delete browsing history on safari to protect your online privacy.

Step # 1 -- Accessing the History Area

Launch Safari. You'll notice a "cog" image on the toolbar with a small triangle next to it. Click on this icon, then in the drop down menu that appears click "History".

Step # 2 -- Identifying your History

Once the "History" page has opened you will see your recent browsing history listed. This will appear in the bottom half of the window. This is where you can delete the entire history or just parts of it.

Step # 3 -- Deleting Specific Elements of the History

Safari makes it easy to delete specific pages from your browsing history, while leaving everything else intact. Right click on an individual page such as the "Apple Homepage" and click "Delete".

Step # 4 -- Deleting the Entire History

Alternatively if you are looking for how to delete browsing history on safari in its entirety then you need to click on the drop down element located above all the individual pages, here this is the "Last Visited" option. As before right click on it and choose "Delete".
