Google Chrome has become a popular internet browser over the years because of its simple and user friendly interface. The browser is relatively fast and takes less time to start up when compared with other browsers. By default, internet explorer is your default browser in windows. In this tutorial, we will show you how to set Chrome as a default browser in Windows 7.
Step # 1 -- Open Google Chrome Settings
In the first step of learning how to set chrome as default browser Windows 7, launch the Chrome browser. Once you have opened the browser, click on the "Customize and Control" button which is located at the top right corner of the window. Now click on the "Settings" option from the menu to open Google Chrome Settings panel.
Step # 2 -- Make Google Chrome your default browser
Once you have clicked on the "Settings" option from the menu, you will be redirected to a Google Chrome Main Settings panel. Here you can adjust different settings and options of Chrome. Now click on the "Settings" option from the menu available on the left corner of the window. Once it has opened, scroll down and click on the "Make Google Chrome my default browser" button.
Step # 3 -- View the Confirmation Message
In the last step when you click on the "Make Google Chrome my default browser" button, a confirmation message will appear on the place of the button. This message states that now Google Chrome has become the default browser for your computer.
