Introduction:

Internet Explorer will build up a history of your online activities. Learning how to delete history on internet explorer means you can protect your privacy and security online.

Step # 1 -- Enabling the Menu Bar

First start Internet Explorer. You will notice there is no "Menu Bar" by default, so you will need to activate this. Right click anywhere on the toolbar and click "Menu Bar".

Step # 2 -- Navigating to Delete Browsing History

You will see that the "Menu Bar" has appeared offering "File", "Edit" etc. You need to click on the "Tools" option and then click on "Delete Browsing History...".

Step # 3 -- Selecting the Entire History

This will open the "Delete Browsing History" window. To learn how to delete history on internet explorer in its entirety you need to select all of the check boxes except for the top one called "Preserve Favorites website data" which you need to uncheck.

Step # 4 -- Deleting the History

Now you can complete the process by pressing the delete button at the bottom of the window. Internet Explorer will open a window showing the progress of the deletion. Once it closes the process is complete.
