In this tutorial, you'll learn how to personalize your desktop in the Windows 8.1 Blue Client, by changing some of the options in the "Personalization" settings.
Step # 1 -- Navigating to the Personalization Settings
First, right-click anywhere on your Desktop and click "Personalize". This will bring up a few options of things you can customize in Windows 8.1.
Step # 2 -- Changing the Theme and Theme Color
In the main portion of the Window, you'll see "My Themes" and "Windows Default Themes", you can select from any one of these by clicking on it in order to make it your set theme. To change the theme color, click on "Color" at the bottom of the window. Then select any color you'd like, and adjust the intensity of that color, when finished press "Save Changes".
Step # 3 -- Background and Screen Saver Settings
To change the Background, click on "Desktop Background" and you can select from any available background. When finished, click "Save Changes". Then click "Screen Saver", here you can select from any screensaver available in the drop down box, as well as how much inactivity is required before the screen saver appears. When finished, click "OK".
Step # 4 -- Sounds
If you click on the "Sounds" option, you can either select Windows Sounds or No Sounds from the drop down box. This gives you the option to not have any additional sounds from Windows.
