In this tutorial, you'll learn how to better accommodate your computing sessions if you have bad eyesight.
Step # 1 -- Adjusting the resolution
The easiest thing you can do that will most likely make the biggest difference is simply changing your resolution. This can be done by right-clicking your desktop screen and clicking "screen resolution". Now under the "resolution" box, click it and drag the cursor down. Now click "Apply", and see if the resolution works better for you, you can keep adjusting until you've found the right resolution.
Step # 2 -- Upgrading the monitor
Another solution would be upgrading your monitor. If you are using an old CRT monitor, consider replacing that with a newer LCD model. If your current monitor is relatively small, around 13-15 inches, consider upgrading to a 21 inch model. This change can make a world of difference for someone with bad eyesight.
Step # 3 -- Using the Windows Magnifier
Click the start menu, in the search box type in "Magnifier" and hit enter. The "Magnifier" application should open, and the screen will zoom in to 200% and you'll be able to move around the screen by moving your cursor to edge in the direction you'd like to move it. Click on the magnifying glass icon and some options will appear, you can use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the zoom percentage. You now know how to work on a computer for people with bad eyesight.
