In this tutorial, you will learn How to Set ANY Song as RINGTONE on iPhone.

It’s always been tricky, making your own ringtones from songs. In this tutorial, we’ll show you one interesting approach that will involve your iPhone only.

For this you’ll need garage band and an mp3 file that you’ve uploaded to your music app or on iCloud. Music from Apple Music subscription won’t work as it is copyright protected.

Start by going to Garage band and creating a new project. Find Audio Recorder and tap on it. Then tap on the multitrack icon. Turn off the metronome icon. Now let’s make the project a little longer.

Now tap on the loop icon and tap Files. Tap Browse items from the Files App if you don’t see the file you are looking for. Navigate to the file then tap and hold it and drag it onto the multitrack screen. From here on, use multitouch and single touch gestures to navigate to the end of the song. Tap on it and drag the edge to a desired part. Do this for both the beginning and the end. For fine tuning, you can zoom in further. Preview your results by tapping on the play button. Make sure to drag it to the beginning of the project when trimming. Tap on the down icon and tap on My Songs. Now tap and hold on the project, then choose Share. Tap Ringtone, give it a name and tap export. If asked, tap continue. You’ll receive a notification of a successful export. Tap ok. Now you can see your new ringtone in the list in settings!

The advantage for this approach is that you it’s all done on your iPhone and the ringtone appears in the ringtones list as a proper ringtone! The process of changing the ringtone then is the same as for stock ringtones.

What are you going to set as your ringtone? Please let us know in comments.
