In this tutorial, you will learn how to Zip a File or Folder in Windows 10.
Zipped (compressed) files take up less storage space and can be transferred to other computers more quickly than uncompressed files. Zipped files also allow sending zipped folders via email.
To zip files, locate your files in the file browser. Right click the file or folder and select Send To - Compressed Folder.
A new zipped folder with the same name will appear in the same location. To unzip it, you have two options: you can either double click the folder and drag a single file of your choice out of it, or you can right click on the zipped folder and click Extract All to extract everything out.
Zipped folders are unavoidably common, however, as you saw, they are very easy to work with!
