In this video, we will show you how to change your name on the Facebook profile.

Facebook allows you to customize and change the profile name. There are certain naming conventions that you would have to follow while changing the profile name. You can change the profile name from the settings section. Let’s get started.

From the Accounts menu, move to “Settings and Privacy” and open up the “Settings” page.

From here, simply click on the “Edit” option next to the Name Field.

Here, you can change the First, Middle or the Last name of your profile.

You can’t add phrases for the profile name. Similarly, you cannot enter symbols or numbers for the profile name as well.

Now let’s change the last name of the profile using a different language, for example Chinese.

You won’t be able to save the changes since you can’t use multiple language characters for the profile name. It should all be in a single language.

So, for example if we change the first name to the same language, you can see that Facebook is allowing me to change the profile name.

Once you have changed the profile name, you won’t be able to make changes for 60 days. So, for the purpose of this tutorial, let’s just change swap the Last Name and the First Name of the profile.

Once done, you can select how the profile name would appear to others. You can select from the option here and enter your password to confirm the changes being made.

Once you save the changes made, you can see that the Facebook profile name has been changed.
