In this tutorial, you will learn How to Live Stream on YouTube.
Livestreaming to youtube can be done in so many ways! To get you started, we’re gonna cover the topic of how to stream from your phone.
If you have a small channel with just a handful of subscribers, you may need to use a 3rd party livestreaming app. Youtube app itself needs you to be an eligible content creator. We’lll be using Streamlabs for this purpose. Once the app is downloaded log in via Youtube if asked. If not, tap on the menu button and tap on Streaming Platform. Tap Youtube and login there. Now leave the menu and you are ready to start the screen.
Tap on the camera screen to reveal some of the controls if they’re not visible. First icon toggles the front and rear cameras. Microphone icon is to mute and unmute your mic. You can also enable or disable the chat for yourself so you can read what the viewers are saying. The last icon will show you the live events such as subscribers or donations.
Finally, clicking the center red icon will start the broadcast! To stop it click it one more time.
Once you get a hang of how to stream, you can use the editor to add some elements such as on-screen chat, text or images and so on.
What’s your platform of choice for media consumption? Please let us know in comments.
