In this video, we will show you how to change your username on Twitter.
Your username, also called your handle, begins with the “at the rate” symbol. It is unique to your account, and appears in your profile URL. Changing your username doesn’t affect your existing followers, Direct Messages, or replies.
Let’s say you the twitter account was set up years ago and the username no longer reflects your brand. For that, we will change the username from the Settings and Privacy section. Let’s get started.
Click on the “more” button from the navigation bar and from the options select the “Settings and privacy” option.
Within the “Your account” tab, select the “Account information” option.
You will be prompted to type in the account password to confirm it’s you.
Once confirmed, click on the username option.
Now click on the input field here and type in the new username for the profile.
Your username should be more than 4 characters and can be up to 15 characters. The username you set should contain only letters, numbers, and underscores. Spaces are not allowed.
Once done, click the Save button and the username will be changed.
That’s all!
