In this video, we will show you how to delete a Twitter account.

Twitter is a social networking microblogging service. To delete your twitter account, you would first need to deactivate the account. We will show you how you can delete your account through the web portal and mobile application.

On the home page, click on the “More” option and from there click on the “Settings and Privacy” option. Once redirected, within the “Your Account” section, you can see the “Deactivate Your Account” option here.

Make sure to download the data archive before you decide to delete your twitter account.

For the mobile application, you can simply open up the main menu and tap on “Settings and Privacy”. From there, tap on the “Account” option. Similar to the web portal, you can also download the data archive from the mobile application as well.

Once you have created a backup, you can simply tap on the “Deactivate your Account” option being shown at the bottom.

Here, you would be required to enter the account password. Once entered, you would be logged out and the twitter account would be deactivated. You can also download your data archive from here as well by moving to the “Your Twitter Data” section.

The account takes thirty days to be permanently deleted. While your account is deactivated, you will not be able to use any of the twitter services.

If you log in to your twitter account before the thirty days, you will be given the option to reactivate your account.
