In this tutorial, you will learn How to Use Sound Recognition Feature in iOS 14.
Sound Recognition is an accessibility setting that allows your iPhone to continuously listen for specific sounds and notify you when it detects them. You can choose to be notified about a range of sounds, and this can turn useful for both people with hearing impediments as well as people who may be using noise canceling or regular headphones.
To set it up, go to Settings - Accessibility - Sound Recognition and turn it on.
Below, tap on Sounds and enable the ones you prefer.
You can also add Sound recognition to Control Center. Go to Settings - Control Center. Tap plus next to Sound Recognition. Now it’s available in Control Center for instant access and tweaking.
Once you’ve turned on sound recognition, you will receive an instant notification every time your iPhone detects the selected sounds. While this feature works pretty well, please do be wary of your surroundings!
What do you think of this newly added feature? Please let us know in the comments.
