DALL-E (the first one), was actually quite fun to play around with. But things have gotten more serious with DALL-E-2, where it actually is being used to help with the graphic design process and workflow. Yes it can be used as a tool for designers, but where is this all leading within our industry?
We use artificial intelligence a lot in our workflow already. Things like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator have built in algorithms that aide in the graphic design process. So at present, things like DALL-E-2 are tools that can benefit the graphic designer. But what the future holds and if things will eventually replace the role as graphic designer completely is yet to be seen.
