By now, you all know that Jess, our video content producer, is a big fan of Blackmagic Design's NLE, DaVinci Resolve 16. In today's OrmsTV video, she is responding to some of your video requests and delivering a DaVinci Resolve keyboard shortcuts tutorial for beginners so you can learn how to edit videos faster in DaVinci Resolve 16.

Here is a comprehensive list of the shortcuts mentioned in the video, as well as their functions and the timestamps of where Jess demonstrates them:

00:00 Intro
01:12 Side Arrows -- Hold down to play forwards or backwards through your project at a faster rate, or tap repeatedly to navigate frame by frame
02:05 Up & Down Arrows -- Tap repeatedly to jump forwards or backwards between the edit points on your timeline
02:39 J, L, K, Spacebar -- Play in reverse (J), play forward (L), stop (K) and pause/play (spacebar)
03:23 CTRL - / CTRL + -- Zoom out of and into your timeline
03:55 Shift Z -- Zoom your timeline to fit your screen
04:14 Z -- Zoom your timeline or source viewer to fit the display size
04:33 P -- Make your timeline viewer or source viewer fullscreen
04:44 I & O -- Set in and out points for video or audio in your source viewer
05:35 F9 -- Insert selection portion of video or audio from source viewer onto the timeline
06:04 F10 -- Overwrite existing clip(s) with new media from your source viewer
06:14 F11 -- Replace an existing clip with new media from your source viewer
06:26 F12 -- Place new media from source viewer on the track above existing clip(s)
06:39 CTRL B -- Blade whatever media you have selected on the timeline without switching to the Blade Tool
07:04 ALT \ -- Rejoin two halves of a clip that was accidentally bladed
07:24 CTRL C / CTRL V -- Copy (CTRL C) and paste (CTRL V)
07:56 CTRL X / CTRL V -- Cut (CTRL X) and paste (CTRL V)
08:29 ALT -- Select a clip, hold down ALT and drag in any direction to duplicate that selected clip
08:47 , and . -- Move your clip one frame at a time left or right, or (if edges are selected) increase and decrease clip duration by one frame at a time, or (if the edit point is selected) move the edit point by one frame at a time left or right
