Nathan Liao's Story and the Value of the CMA // Before my work as a CMA Coach and the founder of CMA Exam Academy, I worked as a Staff Accountant barely making ends meet. I thought of going for the CPA license but I knew it wasn’t the right accounting certification for me. That’s when I discovered the CMA certification. I researched how to become a CMA and found many CMA review course options but none addressed what I needed. Studying for the CMA exam was tough and became almost a part-time job for me. Earning my CMA was the goal and to achieve it I had to pass the CMA exam on my first attempt. I wasn't sure that I’d be able to but in the end, I was able to pass Part-One and Part-Two of the exams on my first attempt.

There are many CMA types of certifications around the world. The one I’m referring to is the CMA USA by the IMA, also known as IMA CMA or US CMA.
