Welcome to DAY 3 of the Beginners 30 Days of Yoga For Inflexibility series

Today's yoga class is a challenging total body yoga flow that works on strengthening and stretching the entire body.

This 30 minute yoga class will challenge you, will work you, and most importantly have you learning about your body.

This yoga flow is tailored to help balance flexibility and strength within the entire body. Maintaining balance between the two will help you create safe and healthy mobility and flexibility while preventing future injury and back pain.

With minimal cues for our day 3 class i want you to use this opportunity to feel the body, to check in with the body at your own pace, in our future classes we will slowly begin to dive deeper into the poses we have been getting familiar with so that we can soak in each and every cue. In time, our alignment and foundation will happen naturally. take your time, breath and observe each and every pose and movement.

If something causes pain or does not feel right, simply skip the pose or movement, everything in practice is optional. Do what you can don't stress over what you cannot do in this very moment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
2+ Pillows
2 Blocks or substitute for stacked books that are taped or wrapped tightly together so that they do not shift :)

Inflexibility could be a result of many things, a very common reason would be our lifestyle, from sitting or standing long hours, to even working out. Lack of flexibility is something many of us experience which can often times lead to injury, poor posture, lack of breath intake and pain.

See you on the mat

This 30 Days Of Yoga series has a last minute sponsor that i am so proud to share with you all and who has positively impacted my practice the past few years.

Liforme creates eco-friendly alignment inspired yoga mats.

These mats are not only beautiful and created with positive intention but they serve an important roll in our yoga practice, especially for beginners.

Many beginners often practice using mats that are quite slippery, Liforme offers grippy mats that will support you on your journey.

When we practice poses like down dog on mats that are slippery, from my own, and the many students who have joined me, we tend to loose our alignment, and work even harder to stay in poses which can stunt our growth within our practice, quickly inflict unnecessary pain, and possible injuries.

Liforme mats also feature alignment lines that help us align our feet and hands throughout the practice helping us stay more aware and present.

We should truly feel grounded and safe on the mat, i highly recommend Liforme as a beginners mat.

This incredible brand not only helps support us in our yoga practice, but they also support change, fighting for important causes like animal welfare, social injustice and Environmental Conservation.

Liforme is a great representation of the yoga community.
