This 15 minute Yin Yoga routine for hips is a great practice to deepen and open the body. Yin Yoga is a form of deep prolonged stretching held from 1 minute up to 5-10 minutes, advanced adventurers will sometimes even do 20! It is a beautiful form of Yoga to help release tension, reach the connective tissue, gain flexibility and can often be a emotional release especially when we are targeting the hips.
I chose not to use blocks however those who feel a bit tense or tight today may use props as needed. I encourage it :) and with every style of yoga it is important to practice ahimsa, non violence. Listen to your body, if you feel pain rather than a simple stretch you’ll want to not go as deep into the posture or come into a posture that feels best for you. This specific practice is not intended for beginners as the unmodified postures may be too intense.
