this video explains how to properly size each device e.g. size of circuit breaker, size of overload and cable sizing for motor loads only. this standard is not applicable for other types of loads.
The standard I followed is NEC Standard which is the most commonly used standard by design engineers.
Properly size each device will protect your motor as well as cables.
