The tic tac toe method can be used to interpret the arterial blood gas problems you will encounter on nursing lectures exam along with the NCLEX exam. After setting up the ABG problem with the tic tac toe method, you will be able to tell if the disorder is a respiratory or metabolic issue, alkalosis or acidosis, and fully, partially, or uncompensated.
