How to tell if you are pregnant:
The best way to know if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test at the appropriate time in your cycle (typically the day after your first missed period, and preferably in the morning). However, some tests may detect pregnancy a bit sooner.
This video will show you a brief time lapse comparison of what a positive and negative pregnancy test result looks like.
The test on the top has 3 drops of hCG in it, which the test will detect and give a positive result (both the control and test lines will appear).
The bottom pregnancy test has three drops of urine without hCG, so the test will have the control line appear only, indicating that it detected the urine. However, the test line will no appear since the bottom test urine did not contain hCG.
This particular test says to read the results at 3 minutes but no longer than 5 minutes. It is important to read the instructions that came with the pregnancy test you use, as details such as urine sample amount and time to read the test can vary.
To confirm a pregnancy, please schedule an appointment with your doctor or healthcare provider.
