Trump’s visit to the border comes as Congressional Republicans continue to attack Pres. Joe Biden over the ‘border crisis,’ going so far as to recently introduce a resolution to censure him over border security and immigration laws. As one of his first actions as president, Biden signed an executive order halting the construction of the border wall. Last year, ProPublica and the Texas Tribune reported taxpayers were funding most of the wall construction—not Mexico, like Trump had promised.
