Photoshop's Warp Text command is great for bending text into different shapes. But when you warp text that’s filled with a gradient, the gradient ignores the warp. So here's the trick to warping text and the gradient together in Photoshop!

After adding some initial text to the document, I show you how to fill your text with a gradient using a Gradient Overlay layer effect. Then we look at what happens (or does not happen) with the gradient when we warp the text using the Warp Text command. We'll undo the text warp, and then learn how to warp the gradient along with the text by converting the type layer into a smart object.
