This tutorial guides you through the process of rigging your character in Blender 3d. Rigging, basically means enabling your character for animation. The system will use armature systems as well as a deformer mesh to have an intersection free solution to this problem. We will also use rigid bodies to simulate the hair. You can apply the same techniques to any cloth so feel free to experiment with it.
