Learn the power players—your boss. Find out who those people are in your organization, and find opportunities to get to know them using political behavior. Don’t surprise your boss if you are having a work problem, such as being behind schedule; never wait until the deadline to tell your boss. Be a team player, supporting your group or team by taking responsibility for shared goals.
