Philanthropic responsibility refers to how a company spends its resources and invests a part of profits to make the world a better palace and benefit society. Examples include:

- Staff volunteering
- Supporting employees in giving time and money to philanthropic causes
- Donations to charity, worthy causes, and relief efforts
- Sponsoring fundraising
- Supporting arts, sports, education, and cultural institutions
- Supplying goods or materials to community projects
- Community involvement, sport, and well-being initiatives
- Investing in community infrastructure
- Alleviation of poverty
