The Hlookup function in Excel almost works the same way as the vlookup, but the difference is in the way o search. The Hlookup function stands for horizontal look up, while the vlookup stands for vertical search for.
The Hlookup function can searches for a value that is alocate in the top row, and then returns a value in the same column that matchs with the look up value.
Now, with the XLOOKUP function in Excel, we can interchangeable use it as the vlookup or as the hlookup. It can cover the both previous functions.
