In this free Excel tutorial, I show you in practice and step by step how to use this Excel formula to solve an Excel challenge for an job interview.

The COUNTIF Function is one of the statistics functions in Excel. Used to count the number of cells that meet one or more criteria. For example, to count the number of times a specific city appears in a customer list. Or, to count how many times a specific seller made a sale.

In the Excel test shown in the video, I need to know how many times a specific seller has sold to the Kentucky Estate. In this case, I have two criteria, the seller and the Region.

To solve this problem, I need to use the CountIfs formula. I can use multiple counts criteria instead of just one criteria.
