In this video, I demonstrate how to get VLOOKUP to return a value for the last match in a column. VLOOKUP returns a value for the first match it finds, not the last, so how can this be achieved?

1) If the values you are cross-referencing are in ascending order, you can use an approximate match VLOOKUP.

2) If the values you are cross-referencing are not in ascending order (or in any order at all) you can use the LOOKUP function. The LOOKUP function always performs an approximate match.

3) If you have Excel 365, you can use XLOOKUP whether the data is sorted or unsorted.
