In this video I look at two methods for converting a Microsoft Word document into a PowerPoint presentation. Both methods work best using heading styles. Heading styles create a structure that PowerPoint understands: heading 1 styles are interpreted as slide titles and heading 2 styles are interpreted as bullet points.

Method 1 uses the Microsoft Word desktop application. Once the heading styles have been correctly applied you can add a button to the Quick Access Toolbar called 'Send to Microsoft PowerPoint'.

Method 2 uses Microsoft Word online. To use this method click File | Export | Export to PowerPoint presentation. Microsoft offers themes that closely match your content, so rather than just exporting as text, this method adds graphics and images that work well with your presentation.
