In this video I demonstrate how to create dependent drop-down lists in Microsoft Excel. A dependent drop-down list displays values dependent on another drop-down. In our example, our first drop-down displays regions and our second, retail branches within the region selected in the first drop-down.

Using the method I demonstrate, the drop-downs are dynamic, in that if you add new branches to your regions, those branches will automatically be picked up by the drop-downs.

Using the method I demonstrate, the drop-downs will appear in multiple rows within a column as and when required, so there will be no need to copy the drop-down settings into new records you create.
