In this video I demonstrate how to combine or concatenate text and formatted numbers. You can concatenate using functions such as CONCAT and CONCATENATE or you can simply use the ampersand (&) character. However, to get the number to retain its original format (such as currency, date or percentage format) you will need to use the TEXT function. The TEXT function allows you to apply any number format using the formatting codes that are built into Excel.
Another method you can use to combine text and formatted numbers is to use custom number formatting. Using this method you can prefix or suffix formatted numeric values with any text value that you want.
