In this HVAC Gas Furnace Troubleshooting Video, I go over what a 2 rod setup looks like and how to test an intermittent pilot gas ignition control. I show you how to test for flame rectification to prove a pilot flame, what the voltage readings should look like on the module, what the sequence of operation is on the module and what to look for when diagnosing a bad control module, bad ground, gas pressure problem or other faults. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVAC Tech while doing this as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.
