In this HVAC Furnace Troubleshooting Video, I go over how to definitely tell if your Pressure Switch is good or bad. The pressure switch is one of the most misdiagnosed components in furnaces. I use a modulating gas furnace with several pressure switches as an example. I use an SDMN6 with an internal pump in order to diagnose the pressure switch while comparing the pump pressure to the rated pressure on the pressure switch. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVAC Tech while doing this as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.
