In this HVAC Video, I go over Heat Pump Components and Refrigerant Flow inside the Outdoor Unit. I go over the reversing valve, compressor, muffler, filter drier, metering device, coil, ports, accumulator, and the function of each. I explain the refrigerant flow in heat mode and the flow in cooling mode. I explain when the reversing valve is powered and when it is not. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVAC Tech before doing this as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.
