In MovilOne we ve got the oportunista to work with one Device iPhone 7 that does not boot, it has a short circuit on the motherboard. Today we have an Apple device that has a short circuit of 1.40A. It is a fairly large short, and we can easily see it with the Flir One Pro thermal camera.
When your iPhone 7 does not charge, you should always check the consumption of the motherboard, feeding the laboratory source at 4.2 Volts.
If we do not have a thermal camera, then we can apply isopropyl alcohol, liquid flux or freezing coolant (fault detector).to the motherboard and in this way find the short circuit.
At first glance it seemed that the Q2101 IC was short but the short circuit was actually on the VDD MAIN line.
Symptoms: iPhone does not turn on iPhone warms up in an iPhone zone does not load The device is not detected by the computer. It has a high consumption in the laboratory source
