iPhone 12 Ear speaker Issues: Fix Low Call Volume Caused by Dust Buildup

Hey everyone, I'm Leonardo, and today we're going to tackle an issue with the iPhone 12's ear speaker. Sometimes, dust can accumulate inside the earpiece, causing the call volume to be incredibly low. In this case, cleaning isn't an option since the dirt is stuck deep within, affecting the functionality. Fortunately, this is an easy repair that can be done in under 20 minutes.

At 0:34, we'll start by replacing the ear speaker flex. I've purchased a new flex to swap out the old one while maintaining the Face ID functionality.

At 0:52, you'll see how easy it is to remove the earpiece. All we need is some flux and a soldering iron at 350°C (662°F) to detach it.

By 1:44, you'll learn that this process can be done with the naked eye, no microscope needed. We just need to desolder the damaged earpiece and install the new one, keeping the original Face ID flex intact.

Don't forget that in just three days, AliExpress will be hosting its biggest sale of the year. We've purchased over 50% of our tools during this sale in the past, making it an excellent time to invest in your own repair toolkit. Check the video description for suggestions and discount coupons to use during the sale.

Moving on to 2:11, once the earpiece is soldered, we'll reassemble the iPhone and test its functionality.

By 4:05, you'll see the earpiece working perfectly again.

I'm Leonardo, and this has been today's tutorial. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next one. Cheers!
