Hello everyone, it's Leonardo. Today, we're going to be repairing an iPhone XS that won't turn on and has high power consumption. We'll start by disassembling the device to reach the motherboard.

After speeding up through the disassembly process, we connect the motherboard to a lab power supply to check its consumption. This is where our tools, a lab power supply and an iPower tool, come into play. We'll also be doing a thorough inspection of the motherboard with a microscope.
With no visible issues found initially, we separate the two boards of the motherboard using a heating tool. We then inspect the pads under the microscope and move forward to find the short circuit using a thermal camera.

The thermal camera indicates the U3300 circuit is heating up. We lift the circuit to measure the impedance and find out that the main line is shorted. We also identify and replace a leaking capacitor.
After the faulty parts are dealt with, we clean the surface, reball the circuit, and then rejoin the two boards using a heating tool. We finally assemble the device and perform a series of checks.
In the end, we see a good charge of 2 amps, confirming the success of our repair. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next video. Take care!
