In today's video, I brought you an interesting case of an iPhone 11 that suffered from moisture damage and wouldn't power up. The phone was sent to us all the way from Barcelona, and the total cost for this repair is 158 euros. These classes aim to equip you with the knowledge to carry out these kinds of repairs, helping you generate income.

Our first step was a visual inspection to locate signs of moisture damage. We found a pink sticker that had popped up on the screen, indicative of exposure to liquids. We proceeded to remove the screws and metal plates, followed by disconnecting the battery connector and the screen flex to prevent short circuits during the repair process.
To investigate the root of the problem, we connected the device to a laboratory power supply. This enabled us to check for any potential short circuits or unusual consumption on the motherboard. Surprisingly, the device powered up correctly, and we observed its power-saving mode operation to be sure of its normal functionality.

The power-saving mode reduces or stops energy-consuming activities like automatic updates, screen lighting, or processor speed. If the consumption nears zero during this mode, it's a good sign indicating the device's overall good health. The consumption for this device dropped to 5 mAh, suggesting the problem was more related to screen circuitry.
As we suspected, the screen connectors displayed corrosion damage, causing a short circuit with the motherboard connectors. To facilitate the repair process, we removed the protective foam and cleaned the area of corrosion using a contact cleaner. This product not only cleans but also protects, thanks to a special oil in its composition.
To repair the connector pins, we applied a little flux and solder paste, then carefully soldered over the damaged tracks with a 350ºC soldering iron. This repaired the tracks and ensured a proper connection. We then cleaned the work area with a contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol to remove all impurities.
After reassembling the screen and evaluating the device's performance, it looked like we had success on our hands. However, we found that the Face ID function was not working. For information on how to solve this issue, you can check out the linked video where I detail the Face ID repair process.
Given the complexity and amount of work involved, the final price of 158 euros for this iPhone 11 repair is quite reasonable. It's essential to value our work and invest in the best tools to offer quality service.
I hope this video proves to be a valuable resource for those dealing with similar issues. The aim is to empower you to tackle these repairs on your own, opening up opportunities for new income. Remember, I'm Leonardo, here to guide you through the complex world of device repair. Until next time, take care!
