Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together.

Special Thanks to Giovanni Diassise
Genoese, the prestigious dialect of Ligurian spoken in and around Genoa, Italy, is primarily spoken by elderly individuals today. Efforts by various associations aim to preserve this dialect, which has a rich literary tradition dating back to the 13th century. Genoese has two commonly used spelling systems, each with different levels of standardization.

Special Thanks to Rose Violette
Monégasque, a variety of Ligurian spoken in Monaco, shares similarities with dialects spoken in Ventimiglia. Though not the official language of Monaco, Monégasque is considered a national language and has been taught in schools since 1972, becoming compulsory in 1976. However, it remains the native language of only a small number of people.
