Ethiopian Semitic (also Ethio-Semitic, Ethiosemitic, Ethiopic, or Abyssinian) is a family of languages spoken in Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Sudan. They form the western branch of the South Semitic languages, a sub-branch of Semitic, part of the Afroasiatic language family.
