Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together.

The Mentawai language, spoken by the Mentawai people of the Mentawai Islands in West Sumatra, Indonesia, is an Austronesian language with approximately 58,000 native speakers. On the other hand, the Nias language, also Austronesian, is spoken on Nias Island and the Batu Islands, known as Li Niha to its speakers. It's part of the Northwest Sumatra–Barrier Islands subgroup, along with Mentawai and the Batak languages, and had about 770,000 speakers in 2000. The Nias language has three main dialects: northern, central, and southern, and is characterized by open syllables, lacking syllable-final consonants.
