Maung (Gun-Marung)
Maung is a member of the Iwaidjan or Yiwaidjan language family. It is spoken in the Northern Territory of Australia, specifically on South Goulburn Island or Warruwi, part of the Goulburn Islands off the north coast of Arnhem Land. According to the 2016 census, about 370 people speak Maung, which is also known as Mawng Ngaralk, Gun-Marung, Gunmarung, Kunmarung, Mawng or Mawung.
