Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together.

Long live the Native Peoples & First Nations!!!
Special Thanks to Margareth N. :D

The Tongva language, also known as GabrieleƱo, is a dormant Uto-Aztecan language once spoken by the Tongva people in and around modern-day Los Angeles. The last fluent native speakers of Tongva lived in the early 20th century and there are efforts to revive the language, including its use in daily life and ceremonies, as well as in language revitalization classes and public discussions on religious and environmental topics. Tongva is closely related to Serrano, and several place names in Southern California originate from Tongva. The language belongs to the Takic subgroup of Uto-Aztecan.
