Standard Moroccan Amazigh, also known as Standard Moroccan Tamazight, is a standardized language created by the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture (IRCAM) in Morocco. It blends elements from Tashelhit, Central Atlas Tamazight, and Tarifit, the three main Amazigh languages in Morocco. This language has held official status in Morocco since 2011.

Tarifit or Riffian is a Zenati language spoken in the Rif region in northern Morocco. It is spoken primarily in the Rif provinces of Al Hoceima, Nador and Driouch. Tarifit is strongly influenced by the Arabic language
