The Łowicz dialect is a dialect of Polish spoken by the ethnographic group of Księżacy (standard Polish) or Ksinzoki (Dialect). It's native to the historical region of the Duchy of Łowicz and some lands outside it, inhabited by Ksinzoki since the 19th century.

The Duchy of Łowicz is an area consisting of more than 100 villages and two towns. It was a complex of estates belonging to the archbishops of Gniezno from the middle ages until the partitions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

The archbishop's serfs were in a much better situation than the peasants living in the neighboring noble estates (nobles usually possessed a much smaller area, and the inhabitants had to do more serfdom for their landlords).

The archbishop's peasants managed to create their own identity and became a separate group. Around the 19th century, the people from the Duchy of Łowicz (Ksinstwo Łowickie) started calling themselves "Ksinzoki".

Around 90% of the duchy's area is located in Masovia (Not to be confused with the Masovian Voivodeship), and 10% (Two parishes) is located in Łęczyca land (Ziemia łęczycka).

The dialect contains features of all three Polish dialect groups: Masovian, lesser Polish, and greater Polish.
Nowadays it's used mostly by the older generation.
