Puelche was a language formerly spoken by the Puelche people in the Pampas region of Argentina. Puelche has long been considered a language isolate. Based on very limited evidence, Puelche might be closely related to the language of the Querandí, one of the Het peoples, and it is related to the Chon languages.

The Gününa küna, or sometimes, Pwelche a Mapudungun word meaning, "people of the east. are indigenous peoples living east of the Andes Mountains in Chile and Southwest Argentina. They were annihilated by plagues and epidemics in the late 18th century, with survivors merging into other groups such as the Mapuche, Het, and Tehuelche.

The Puelches are commemorated in the scientific name of a species of lizard, Liolaemus Puelche, which is endemic to Mendoza Province, Argentina. Currently, there are efforts to revitalize the language.
