Plasma Panel parts make up the majority of the parts inside of your plasma TV. These include Sustain Boards, Buffers & Scan Drives, and the Logic Board. If your Plasma Panel Label contains a Samsung logo, then the plasma panel parts will be identified using Samsung part numbers.
Samsung identifies its plasma panel parts by using the PBA number, along with a suffix. The PBA number is typically printed on the board and uses the following part number pattern: LJ92- followed by 5 numbers and 1 letter. Please disregard PCB numbers, which begin with LJ41, as they do not guarantee compatibility.
- LJ92-#####X (# = a number, X = a letter)
- Sometimes, the final letter of the PBA number will be identified by a check mark drawn over one letter within a line of letters that are printed in alphabetical order on the board. If your part has multiple PBA numbers, look for barcode labels, PBA Revision boxes, or a suffix to determine the correct PBA number for your part. Barcode labels can have the final 4 characters of the correct PBA number embedded within a long string of characters. Typically, these 4 characters can be found after the first two letters on the label.
- Sometimes, finding a compatible replacement requires matching a PBA Revision number. PBA Revision Numbers are 2 to 3 characters long.
- Some parts have Revision Numbers stamped in a white box on the board. PBA REV, short for Revision, will be printed next to this box.
Sometimes the revision number will be printed at the end of the barcode label.
Make sure to check all notes on ShopJimmy product pages for revision number details
- Search Scenario #1: Your Search Returns An Exact Match
Search your part number on ShopJimmy.com to find a compatible replacement. Typically, your part number will match the ShopJimmy Item Number.
- Search Scenario #2: Your Search Returns A Differing Item Number
If searching your part number directs you to items that have differing ShopJimmy Item Numbers, take a look at the product details to confirm that your part number is listed within one of the fields. If your part number is listed in the Part Number, PBA Number, or Manufacturer Part Number fields on a product page, but is different than the ShopJimmy Item number, that just means that we have found Manufacturer Part Numbers that relate to this product. Manufacturer part numbers typically begin with BN96, a dash, 5 numbers and 1 letter. Sometimes a Philips part number is used as a manufacturer part number. Philips manufacturer part numbers typically begin with 9965, followed by 8 digits.
- BN96-#####X (# = a number, X = a letter)
- 9965######## (# = a number)
- Search Scenario #3: Your Search Has Multiple Results
If searching your part number directs you to items that have slightly different part numbers, take a look at the product details to confirm that your part number is in the Substitute Parts
